* Send email to jim & jkaret that states your topic and gives site addresses (3-6)

Points will be deducted if every WWW address is not typed correctly (http://...etc) or if the address you give is not useful for your topic

5 1) If you cannot find 2 or more places to shop for your item on the Internet, you must show Julia before 11/29 at least 2 other sources (ex. mail order catalogs, video of telephone shopping for your item, store catalogs) that you will use for the project.

2) State the item you will shop for clearly. (Ex. What kind of computer equipment? What kind of books?)

Wed. 11/29 * Write Introduction for your WEB page.
Include the following information:
1) type of product or service you selected and why
2) the "usual" way most people get this product/service.
3)LINKS (list of sites you can use to shop for this item on the Internet.)
10 Write in Microsoft WORD, spell check before putting in HTML
Fri. 12/1 * Save to your UNIX home at least 3 pictures or graphics you will use.

* List at least 5 Advantages and Disadvantages of shopping for your item on the Internet.

You can scan in pictures, copy from WWW or make your own graphics/graphs.

Include a picture that will tell your readers what your topic is.

Price? Quality? Convenience? Payment methods? Selection? Can you tell what you are buying? Easy to find? ETC

Wed 12/6 Research and prepare answers to the following questions:
1) Discuss the advantages and disadvantages you listed above.

2) What type of person is this type of shopping most likely to appeal to? Do you recommend it personally?

3) Are Japanese companies using this method for commerce? Compare Japan with another part of the world such as the United States or Europe.

15 Have a clear idea of how you want the final Webpage to look.

Make a picture (outline) of it for yourself. Mark where the links will be.
