Look before you and do not think that the words of your enemies could harm you. In one word, pretend that you are ignoring your adversaries. Do you think your attacks will be strong? Before, when I would read, early in the morning, an article against me, I would tel myself: "Im a dead man!; I will never rise again!" Nevertheless, I have risen. Nobody remembers anymore what had been written then, and after a long time, I have forgotten as well. One falls in vulgarity trying to defend oneself. Avoid this. Start a new series of conferences, hold an irritating calm and cold blood as well as a joyful disdain for everything that threatens to ruin anything about you. Do you think these ruinous things can resist?

I don't know what will come out of that fight to death between two time periods. Everything but the conservation of what exists! This is for me the concluding reason. I don't expect that victory will give us a lasting reform: up until here progess has always made us go from mistake to mistake. But the fight is good, refreshing and healthy. I understand that you have founded a society. Don't be sure to count on everyone that has joined you. The matter is to accept for the oens who joined you the premises established by you.
